Review
This multitasker from Little Tikes can save you money over the years. When your baby is small and not walking, it can be used as a sit-and-play center.
As baby starts to walk, the walker projects lights on the floor that your baby playfully chases, promoting and building strong walking skills.
When your little one gets older, the 70+ activities built into the top of the walker can be played with, standing or sitting. This keeps you from buying multiple play centers and walkers for the first 3 or 4 years of your child’s life.
There is some assembly required (next to none), and batteries are required (3 AA) but not included. However, those two negatives don’t really amount to much of a problem. As you probably know, a lot of kids toys are in the same boat in those regards.
The unit ships at 6.3 pounds, so the walker is light, easy for baby to push. It’s durable plastic construction and wheels mean it holds up well to rough treatment, and rolls easily, even in shag carpet.
Another nice feature are the wheel locks that keep the walker from rolling when being used as a play center. This keeps your baby from falling as well.
There are buttons to push, gears to spin, balls to roll, and plenty of sounds and songs.
The unit “talks” to your baby, saying colors and numbers that correspond to particular buttons.
NOTE! Some smart parents have pointed out that the instruction booklet does not reveal a certain procedure that must be followed to get this Toys “R” Us 2016 Hot Toy List recipient walking.
You must slide the activity table down to be able to unlock the front wheels. This is not mentioned in the instructions, but is a simple process when you know what to do.
Conclusion
All in all, a budget-friendly activity center and walking trainer that develops physical and mental growth, independence and self-esteem, and folds down for quick easy storage.
